Sir Chotu Ram Award for Chief Minister KCR

Hyderabad: Akhil Bharat Kisan Organization has announced the ‘Sir Chotu Ram’ Award for chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for his proactive work for the farmers.

The representatives of the organization met the agriculture minister Niranjan Reddy on Thursday at his office. They handed over the award to the minister on this occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that the biggest department in the country was the agriculture department and KCR wanted to see a qualitative change in the agriculture sector of the country. “We can feed the world if we could develop and utilize the land and resources by developing the agriculture sector but that is not happening right now,” he added.

He said that there were a lot of opportunities in the Food processing sector but there was very little done in that direction. He said that KCR wanted to show the Telangana model to the country and develop the sector in all aspects.

The Minister said that many intellectuals, farmers and development seekers were being attracted towards this idea of KCR. He said that it was sad that the union government did nothing when about 700 farmers died while protesting against the Black Farm Acts by the Modi government. In a shameful way, the PM apologized to the nation but never thought of providing ex-gratia to the deceased persons’ families. (INN)
