TSRTC launches its own Radio in city buses

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) is moving forward with new ideas to reach out more to the passengers. As a part of that, it has been decided in principle to install ‘TSRTC Radio’ in the buses to make the journey of the passengers entertaining and happy. After a full-scale exercise on it, this radio was made available in 9 ordinary and metro buses of Hyderabad city as a pilot project.

This radio was launched by TSRTC MD VC Sajjanar on Saturday in Bus Bhavan, for the Kukatpally Depot bus in Hyderabad. After that, the performance of the radio was examined. TSRTC Executive Director (Operations) PV Munishekhar, Kukatpally Depot Manager Ishaq Bin Mohammad, Mechanical Superintendent Jayaram and Electrician KVS Reddy were present on this occasion.

MD VC Sajjanar expressed hope that the TSRTC radio installed in 9 city buses as a pilot project would entertain the passengers. He said that this radio has been installed in buses plying on Uppal – Secunderabad, Dilsukhnagar – Secunderabad, Gachibowli – Mehidipatnam, Secunderabad – Patancheruvu, Kukatpally – Shankarpally, Kondapur – Secunderabad, Kothi – Patancheruvu, Ibrahimpatnam – JBS routes. He said that radio services have been made available to passengers in the respective buses from Saturday.It is said that along with good songs on this radio, the importance of the public transport system and the services provided by TSRTC would be explained to the passengers. It is explained that the importance of human relations and ethical stories that enhance moral values have been made available on this radio. Also, passengers will be made aware of women’s and children’s safety, and cyber and financial crimes through this radio, he said. It has been explained that apart from providing entertainment to the passengers, it has been decided to create awareness on social issues. (INN)
