Chief Minister KCR pays tributes to popular singer Gaddar

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao paid his respects to the mortal remains of popular singer Gaddar on Monday. He reached Gaddar’s residence in Alwal and offered his condolences to the family members.

KCR was accompanied by Ministers Harish Rao, T. Srinivas Yadav, Vemula Prashanth Reddy, Planning Commission Vice President Vinod Kumar, MLAs Balka Suman, Rasmai Balakishan, Chanti Kranti Kiran, Mainampally Hanmanth Rao, MLC Goreti Venkanna, and BRS leaders.

Gaddar, who was 74, died on Sunday after a prolonged illness. He was a popular singer and folk artist who was known for his songs on social and political issues. He was also a vocal supporter of the Telangana statehood movement.

KCR said that Gaddar was a great singer and a true patriot. He said that Gaddar’s songs will continue to inspire people for generations to come.The Chief Minister also announced that the state government would provide financial assistance to Gaddar’s family. He said that a government college would be named after Gaddar and that a statue would be erected in his honour. (INN)
