Kaloji Health University extends MBBS second batch reporting deadline

Hyderabad: Kaloji Health University has extended the reporting deadline for MBBS second batch admissions till Friday evening. The deadline was initially fixed as September 7.

The decision was taken after many students and parents requested the Medical and Health Minister, Harish Rao, to extend the deadline and provide a third round of counselling as per the Medical Council Committee (MCC) rules.

The minister ordered the Vice-Chancellor of Kaloji Health University to give an opportunity to the students who were admitted in the second round.

The university issued a statement on Thursday saying that the students who have secured a seat in the second vacancy counselling will be informed to report to the allotted colleges with the relevant certificates by extending the reporting deadline till Friday evening.

The statement also said that the students who have not yet been allotted a seat will be considered for the third round of counselling, which will be held on September 10.The decision to extend the reporting deadline is a relief for many students who were worried about not being able to get a seat in a medical college. It is also a positive step by the government to ensure that all students have an equal opportunity to pursue a career in medicine. (INN)
