Rich tributes paid to Jaipal Reddy on his 82nd birth anniversary

Hyderabad: A wave of respect and appreciation washed over Hyderabad’s Necklace Road on Tuesday as dignitaries and citizens gathered to celebrate the 82nd birth anniversary of former Union Minister S Jaipal Reddy.

The official celebrations, organized by the state government near Spurthi Sthal, saw a vibrant convergence of ministers, family members, and party leaders, all united in remembering a pivotal figure in the region’s history.

Ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Jupalli Krishna Rao, and Tummala Nageshwara Rao, along with key Congress leaders from the erstwhile Mahabubnagar district, painted a vivid picture of Jaipal Reddy’s dedication to public service. Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy declared him one of India’s top five Lok Sabha members, emphasizing his lasting impact on both Telugu states.

Moving tributes resonated throughout the ceremony. Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao, praising Jaipal Reddy’s rise from a student leader at Osmania University to a national figure, highlighted the eloquence and depth of his parliamentary speeches. He described the hushed silence that accompanied Jaipal Reddy’s words, underscoring his ability to command attention and respect.

Komatireddy Venkat Reddy acknowledged Jaipal Reddy’s instrumental role in securing Telangana statehood and announced plans for further commemorative programs in his honour. He also credited Jaipal Reddy’s vision and relentless efforts for bringing the Hyderabad Metro to fruition.Chennuru MLA Vivek Venkataswamy reminisced about Jaipal Reddy’s personal integrity and close ties with his family.
