Nayani promises 1,000 police posts in new districts

Hyderabad: In order to strengthen the police administration in new districts, the Telangana Government will make appointments on 1,000 posts in Police Department.

Speaking to media persons here on Saturday, Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy said that another 1,000 posts will be filled next year.

He said that the government would appoint Superintendants of Police for all the districts and would construct new police station buildings with all amenities on par with corporate offices.

He said all police stations would also have a gym to keep the policemen fit.

Earlier, the Home Minister laid the foundation stone for new buildings of police stations at Nampally, Santosh Nagar, Kulsumpura and Golconda.

He said the government would spend Rs. 16 crore for the construction of new buildings.

Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatraya, MLAs Kausar Mohiuddin and Mumtaz Ahmed Khan and MLC Syed Aminul Hassan Jafferi were also present. (INN)
