KCR completely ignored education sector: BJP

Hyderabad: BJP Telangana unit president Dr. K. Lakshman has accused Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao of completely neglecting the education sector in the State.

Speaking to media persons here on Monday, the BJP chief said that the State Government has not made any preparations for centenary celebrations of Osmania University this year.

He said more than 50% posts of faculty and non-teaching staff were vacant in the Osmania University. Similar is the situation of other educational institutions in the State.

He slammed the government for not implementing the promise of KG to PG free education.

The BJP leader also condemned the government for not clearing the fee reimbursement dues.

Lakshman also alleged that the Chief Minister has pushed the State into financial crisis. He said that Telangana was already into financial crisis when the Central Government announced demonitisation of higher currency notes.

He said now KCR was trying to find an excuse to blame demonitisation for the financial crisis.

Earlier, Lakshman congratulated G. Manohar Reddy who took charge as party’s State unit General Secretary. (INN)
