Hyderabad: Former Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah said that former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was a remarkable person who took numerous steps to empower the masses.
Speaking at a function to mark Indira Gandhi’s birth centenary celebrations here on Saturday, Rosaiah said that Indira Gandhi was not just a national leader but an international personality.
He said that Indira Gandhi took numerous steps to strengthen Indian economy and drive out poverty from the country.
Earlier, Congress leaders felicitated Rosaiah at the Congress Legislature Party office. Opposition leader in Assembly K Jana Reddy, T Jeevan Reddy, Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy and others were present. (INN)
