TRS Govt strengthening education: Minister

Suryapet: Minister for Power Jagdish Reddy on Saturday said that the State Government was taking steps to improve quality of education on par with education in developed countries.

The Minister was in Kodad town in Suryapet district to inaugurate the additional classrooms constructed on the premises of Government Junior College.

Speaking at the programme on the college premises, Jagdish Reddy said that the state government has allocated a decent share for education sector and has been making strenuous efforts to improve the quality of education as part of the state government’s free education from KG to PG.

He said that the government would fill up the teaching posts in schools and colleges very soon.

He said that the government was considering extending superfine rice to junior and degree colleges also to provide nutritious food for students. This will also help in increasing attendance of students, the minister said. (INN)
