BJP asks TS Govt to resolve cab drivers’ issues

Hyderabad: BJP MLA Chintala Ramchandra Reddy has asked the State Government to intervene to resolve the problems being faced by cab drivers operating in Hyderabad.

Raising the issue during Zero Hour, the BJP MLA alleged that thousands of cab drivers working with aggregators were on strike which caused huge inconvenience to the common people.

He also accused the managements of aggregators of harassing the cab drivers through police and State administration.

He said most of the drivers belong to SC, ST and BC communities. He said thousands of poor drivers purchased new vehicles on loans with the hope of making a decent living. However, they are facing uncertainity due to indifferent behaviour of aggregators.

Transport Minister Mahender Reddy assured the BJP that he would resolve the issue and also agreed to convene a meeting with all concerned on Friday afternoon. (INN)
