TS Govt signs MoA with French Aero-campus to set up Aero Skill Academy

Hyderabad: The Government of Telangana on Friday signed a Memorandum of Agreement with French Aerocampus Aquitaine to create a world-class aero skills academy in collaboration with academia and industry based in Hyderabad.

The project deliverables include identifying skill gaps, designing courses and enabling EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) and DGCA (Directorate general of Civil Aviation) certifications for the academy and its courses.

This partnership focuses on developing skills across youth as well as experienced professionals in tune with the latest industry trends. The new academy will offer specialised aeronautical courses in engineering, manufacturing and maintenance domains.

The academy shall offer long duration basic training programmes for young students and vocational training and short duration courses tailor-made to industry requirements for experienced technicians.

The agreement was signed between Jerome Verschave – General Manager, Aero Campus and Jayesh Ranjan, Secretary, ITE&C, in presence of Advisor to Government Papa Rao, M/s Florence Forzy –Raffard- Councillor for International Ecomonic Affairs, Bordeaux, E Venkata Narasimareddy, VC&MD TSIICand other dignitaries from DGCA, AAI, Aerospace Industry, Aeronautical Society of India, IIT Hyderabad and Government.

Speaking on the occasion, Jayesh Ranjan said that the aeroskill academy will help in attracting large scale investments in Aerospace sector.

Jerome Verchave mentioned thatAerocampus is very excited to begin this new campus in India. Papa Rao said that the association with Aerocampus is under the framework agreement signed earlier between Government of Telangana and Bordeaux Metropole. (INN)
