GHMC striving hard for clean Hyderabad: Mayor

Hyderabad: GHMC Mayor Bonthu Rammohan said that the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation was striving hard to make Hyderabad a clean, healthy and green city. He appealed all the citizens to support the GHMC’s efforts.

As a part of Swachh Survekshan Padayathra the Mayor on Friday visited Moosarambagh and I.S. Sadan areas to create awareness about the segregation of garbage waste before they are handed over to the auto trolley drivers.

The Mayor said that nearly 81 lakh saplings have been planted as part of State Government’s Haritha Haram drive to increase green cover in the city. He asked the citizens to take up the responsibility by duly planting some of the saplings at their households.

Rammohan also appealed the citizens to take part in Swachh Survekshan by dialing 1969.

Sunaritha Reddy, Area Corporator, Srinivas Reddy, Zonal Commissioner and senior officials of the South Zone have participated in the programme. (INN)
