CMO is lying on Congress stance on SC,ST meeting: Bhatt

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Working President Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has denied praising Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao during the all-party meeting on SC, ST Sub-Plans.

Addressing a press conference, along with MP Nandi Yellaiah and MLAs Dr. J. Geetha Reddy and A. Sampath Kumar, at Gandhi Bhavan on Monday, Bhatti said that the Congress leaders did not praise the Chief Minister and instead they condemned the State Government for improper implementation of SC/ST Sub-Plan.

He said that the government failed to answer several questions raised by the Congress party during the recently concluded winter session of Legislative Assembly. Similar issues were raised during the all-party meeting.

However, he said that the Chief Minister’s Office and ruling party leaders were wrongly claiming that the Congress leaders appreciated the Chief Minister’s initiatives.

Bhatti alleged that nearly 95% of funds meant for SC/ST Sub-Plans were diverted to other projects for commissions and kickbacks.

He demanded that the government release all the pending arrears and ensure full utilisations of SC/ST Sub-Plan for the current financial year 2016-17. (INN)
