Hyderabad: Chief Secretary S.P. Singh on Tuesday directed the officials of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development to make effective utilisation of Central schemes and make strategies to get more funds from the Centre.
Speaking at a review meeting here, the Chief Secretary said a comprehensive strategy needs to be prepared to make full utilisation of Central funds for various schemes.
He directed the Panchayat Raj officials to ensure total utilisation of funds various schemes till March 31 this year. He said efforts should be made to get adequate funds for schemes like Swachh Bharat and MGNREGS.
Singh said special focus should be laid on National Rural Livelihood Mission, National Rural Employment Generation Programme and National Social Assessment Programme.
The review meeting was attended by senior officials including Finance Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania and PR & RD Commissioner Neetu Kumar Prasad. (INN)
