Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari on Sunday appealed to the contract and part-time lecturers of universities not to go on strike or organise any agitation.
Speaking to the representatives of contract and part-time lecturers here, the Deputy CM said that the Stat Government would constitute a committee to regularise their services.
He said that the government was also planning to increase the salaries of contract and part-time lecturers working in 11 universities in the State. He asked the lecturers to restrain from going on strike in view of MLC elections and final examinations. (INN)
