Hyderabad: Industries Minister K. Tarakarama Rao on Thursday said that the State Government would promote Bio-Tech Industries and Life Sciences sector in the Telangana State.
In his reply to the question raised by MLA Chennamaneni Ramesh and others during Question Hour in Legislative Assembly, the minister said that the Bio Technology and Life Science industries are located in the Genome Valley Industrial Park located in Shameerpet area of Medchal district.
Some of the leading global and domestic Bio-Technology and Life Sciences companies are already operating in this park. The State Government has decided to add a further extent of 150 Acres to the Genome Valley to accommodate more companies, he said.
KTR said that the State Government was also promoting a dedicated centre in the Genome Valley for MSME Sector Companies. Incubation facilities and High level R & D and training facilities for Bio Technology and Life Sciences Companies are also under development. (INN)
