SCR GM calls for speedy completion of ongoing projects

Hyderabad: South Central Railway General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav called for speedy completion of works / projects which are in progress, so as to meet the targeted schedule on South Central Railway during the current fiscal 2017-18.

He was addressing a works review meeting with all the Principal Heads of Departments (PHODs) at Rail Nilayam on Saturday.

R.C. Bhoolchandani, Chief Administrative Officer/Construction and the Chief Engineers holding charge for various projects made a detailed presentation on the status of works / projects under progress.

The General Manager was briefed in detail on the progress of works related to Traffic Facilities, Level Crossings, Passenger Amenities, Road Over Bridges (ROBs), Road Under Bridges (RUBs), Yard Works, Track Doubling works, Laying of new Railway Lines etc.,

Addressing the meeting, Vinod Kumar Yadav called upon the Engineering officials to expedite work plans in co-ordination with other departments by clearing any bottle necks and ensuring smooth completion of projects.

He stressed upon drawing up of plans pertaining to work proposals, estimates and drawings etc., at the earliest, so that the actual execution is carried out without any constraints. He discussed in detail the year wise planning for commissioning of projects.

He undertook meticulous examination of the entire status of ongoing projects individually and identified areas requiring attention.

Principal Chief Engineer S.N. Singh, Chief Operations Manager N. Madhusudana Rao, Chief Signal & Telecommunications Engineer M.S. Mahaboob Ali, Chief Mechanical Engineer Arjun Mundiya and Chief Electrical Engineer John Thomas were amongst the officials present. (INN)
