4500 Haj pilgrims of Telangana reach Makkah

Hyderabad: With the departure of 15th batch of Haj pilgrims the number of the pilgrims who left Hyderabad for Makkah Saudi Arabia rose to 4,500. As many as 4,200 Haj pilgrims belonging to Telangana State have already reached Makkah KSA by 14 special flights.

Charminar MLA Syed Ahmed Pasha Qadri, Haj Committee Mohammed Masiullah Khan and others bid farewell to them and flagged off the 15th batch of pilgrims this evening.

Pasha Qadri requested the pilgrims to pray for peace, progress and prosperity of the nation and the state and said that the pilgrims are fortunate that they were selected from thousands of applicants and now they are leaving for the most sacred journey of their life.

Masiullah Khan said that pilgrims should spend their time in prayers. Haj Committee Special Officer Prof. S. A. Shukoor said that the pilgrims are safe in Makkah and are busy in prayers and other pious activities.

The 16th Flight scheduled at 9:00 AM on 10th August has been rescheduled. It will now take off at 2:30 pm from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. TS State Haj Committee has made arrangements for Friday prayers for the pilgrims at the Haj Terminal.
