Hyderabad (INN): The second anniversary of Telangana Formation Day was celebrated in a grand manner in the national capital on Thursday.
Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Special Representative of Telangana Venugopal Chary and other leaders participated in the celebrations held at Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi.
The Deputy CM hosted the national flag and all participants paid rich tributes to the martyrs. Floral tributes were also paid to the Telangana Talli statue and portrait of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.
A photo exhibition, highlighting the achievements of two-year-old TRS Government, was also organised at Telangana Bhavan.
Speaking to media persons later, Mahmood Ali said that the TRS Government has proved all apprehensions wrong with regard to formation of Telangana State.
Compared to three other small States formed during BJP rule, Telangana has emerged as the fastest growing State in the country.
TRS MPs B. Vinod Kumar, Jithender Reddy, Rajya Sabha MP R. Anand Bhaskar and other leaders participated in the celebrations.
