Telangana has moved to m-governance from e-governance: KTR

Hyderabad: IT and Industries Minister K. Tararaka Rao claimed that the State Government was providing good governance with the help of technology in Telangana state.

KTR, in a Tweet on Saturday, stated that the Telangana government will provide better services to the citizens by embracing all types of technology from electronic governance (e-governance) to Mobile Governance (m-governance).

Highlighting the accomplishments, KTR mentioned that through Mee Seva 2.0, 450 different services from 90 government departments are available at 4,500 centres throughout the state. According to the e-Taal report from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of the Union Government, Telangana ranks second among states in delivering effective electronic civil services.Expressing his admiration, KTR lauded T-Wallet as a groundbreaking innovation pioneered in Telangana, being the first of its kind in the country. Over the past six years, T-Wallet has facilitated transactions amounting to a remarkable sum of Rs. 20,300 crores. KTR emphasized that the remarkable utilization of technology by Telangana for e-governance demonstrates its commitment to effective governance, which has garnered numerous national-level awards. (INN)
