Educational institutions re-open in Telangana

Hyderabad: After the summer break, around 41,000 schools, residential institutions, and hostels in the state reopened on Monday, welcoming back approximately 60 lakh students.

In order to enhance the quality of education and strengthen government schools, the Department of School Education has devised a comprehensive plan. This includes initiatives for school education, disciplinary measures, and the State Institute of Education Technology (SITE). These plans have been presented to Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy and Education Secretary Vakati Karuna for their approval. Building upon the previous introduction of English medium teaching in classes 1 to 8, the government plans to extend it to class 9 in the upcoming academic year. (INN)
