Mega DSC will be conducted soon: Sridhar Babu

Hyderabad: IT & Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu has announced that a mega District Selection Committee (DSC) will be held soon to facilitate large-scale appointments for teacher positions.

The Minister made this announcement on Wednesday while attending the closing ceremony of the Badi Bata program at Manthani Government Boys School.

During his speech, Sridhar Babu emphasised the government’s commitment to providing top-notch facilities and highly qualified teachers in government schools. He highlighted that 984 students have transitioned from private to government schools this year, reflecting confidence in the public education system.

He revealed that substantial funds are being allocated for the development of the education department and that retired vice-chancellors will be appointed to universities to further educational development in the state. The government is also dedicated to introducing English medium instruction and establishing a digital education system in government schools.

Sridhar Babu stated that a programme would soon be implemented to fill vacant positions in government schools through the mega DSC. Efforts are also being made to expedite the promotion and transfer processes for teachers, which have been stalled for many years.The Minister assured that the government is taking steps to ensure students receive a better education in government schools than in corporate and private institutions. (INN)
