Acquire right attitude and aptitude: OU VC to MJCET students

Acquire right attitude and necessary aptitude for job, advised Prof. S. Ramachandram, Vice Chancellor of Osmania University (OU) to Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology (MJCET) students yesterday in their graduation ceremony.

He also noted that incubation centers in colleges must help students make products, and enable them to become entrepreneurs.

Prof. Ramachandram remarked about Government of India’s initiatives such as ‘Make in India’, ‘Startup India’, etc. and urged passing out students to actively participate in nation development.

He also invited the students of MJCET to be part of OU’s Centenary Year celebrations that are due to commence in April 2017.

“I felt proud to be the Vice Chancellor of OU it its centenary year”, Prof. Ramachandram expressed.
While noting that “companies hire students for the skills they acquire,” he assured “MJCET’s applications for setting up research centre, which were pending with OU, will be immediately taken up.”

Congratulating the graduating students, Dr. J. Purnachandra Rao, I.P.S., Additional Director General of Police and Chairman, Telangana State Level Recruitment Board said students must know the reality of the world in order to be able to contribute to the society.

“Unless one understands the character and skill matrix of an individual, one cannot really perform better,” noted Dr. Rao.

He added that personalities like Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and Mother Teresa had enormous skills and great character, something which students must acquire and improve.

As many as 732 students graduated in 2016 from MJCET.

Secretary of Sultan ul Uloom Education Society (SUES) Zafar Javeed delivered welcome address. He said, ‘We have made excellence our tradition over the year. There has been a constant development in every facility provided, and keeping pace with changing times.”

MJCET Director Dr. Basheer Ahmed presented the graduates to the Senate for oath, while SUES vice chairman Mohammed Waliullah administered the oath.

Dr. Mir Akbar Ali Khan, Prof. S.A. Wahab, Mr. Amir Javeed, Principal K.V.Krishnan, and others were present on this occasion.
