Over 85% candidates qualify in Polycet – 2017

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister (Education) Kadiyam Srihari on Saturday released the results of Polycet – 2017 for admissions into polytechnic colleges across the Telangana State.

Speaking to media persons after releasing the results at Indira Priya Darshini College at Nampally here, the Deputy CM informed that of 128,107 who appeared for the exams, as many as 109,058 or 85.13% cleared the exams.

They include 65,622 boys and 43,436 girls. The first rank was secured by D. Neeraj Dattu of Warangal while Y. Sindhu of Mancherial got the second rank. There are five girls in the Top-10 rankers of Polycet – 2017.

The Deputy CM said that the Polycet counselling would begin in the third week of this month. There are 12,250 seats in 58 government and 41,220 seats in 149 private polytechnic colleges in the State. (INN)
