Record number of applications for admission to UoH

Hyderabad: The University of Hyderabad (UoH) has received a record highest number of 58,034 applications for its various courses for the year 2017-18. This is about 32 % more than the last year. Last year the number was about 44,000.

UoH is looking at conducting entrance examination at 37 centres, throughout India between 1st to 5th June.

“This is extremely good news that there has been a 30% increase in the applications in this year. We feel happy that we have become choice destination for more aspirants from all over the country. It adds responsibility as a leading academic institution of the country.

Our University will greatly benefit with this situation where we expect the quality of our input is likely to improve,” said UoH Vice-Chancellor Prof. Appa Rao.

Out of 58,034 applicants, 37% are women; 35.09% are OBCs; 15.83% are SCs and 9.60% are STs.

The highest number of applications have been received from Telangana (19,009) followed by Kerala (6,515) Andhra Pradesh (5,918) and rest from all other parts of the country.

The applicants can download their Hall Tickets from the website: http://acad.uohyd.ac.in and http://uohyd.ac.in from May 25. Applicants can also contact on phone numbers 040-23132102, 23132103 and 23132444 for any guidance regarding hall ticket downloading from 25th May. (INN)
